{"id":10855,"date":"2023-02-09T15:56:30","date_gmt":"2023-02-09T15:56:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/old.hafnarborg.is\/?post_type=event&#038;p=10855"},"modified":"2023-02-13T18:08:57","modified_gmt":"2023-02-13T18:08:57","slug":"in-my-language-amuse-guided-tour-in-spanish","status":"publish","type":"event","link":"https:\/\/old.hafnarborg.is\/en\/event\/in-my-language-amuse-guided-tour-in-spanish\/","title":{"rendered":"In My Language: Amuse \u2013 Guided Tour in Spanish"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #00dbd2;\">[Ver versi\u00f3n en espa\u00f1ol abajo.]<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Sunday February 19th at 3 p.m.<\/strong>, artist <strong>Othoniel Mu\u00f1iz <\/strong>will take guests on a <strong>guided tour in Spanish<\/strong> of the exhibition <em>Amuse<\/em>, featuring works by artist S\u00f3ley Eir\u00edksd\u00f3ttir (1957-1994): sculptures, ceramics and two-dimensional works.<\/p>\n<p>At the start of her career, S\u00f3ley mostly made traditional pottery, often categorised as practical objects, but towards the end of the 1980s, the artist\u2019s images, which had previously served to decorate pots and bowls, took on a life of their own in large, three-dimensional works, made from concrete.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Othoniel Mu\u00f1iz<\/strong> is a Mexican artist living in Iceland since 2017. He graduated from La Esmeralda in Mexico City and studied as an exchange student at the Iceland University of the Arts.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>In My Language<\/strong> is an event programme focused on making Hafnarborg more accessible to people of different backgrounds by welcoming guests to the museum in various languages. The event is a collaboration between Hafnarborg and the aid organisation Get Together that provides support for asylum seekers and refugees in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur. The programme is supported by the Museum Fund.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Free entry \u2013 everyone welcome.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #00dbd2;\"><strong>En mi idioma \u2013 visita guiada en espa\u00f1ol a la exposici\u00f3n Gletta<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p><strong>El domingo 19 de febrero a las 15:00 horas<\/strong>, el artista <strong>Othoniel Mu\u00f1iz<\/strong> llevar\u00e1 a los invitados a una visita guiada en espa\u00f1ol a la exposici\u00f3n <em>Amuse\u00a0<\/em>(<em>Guasa<\/em>), presentando obras de la artista S\u00f3ley Eir\u00edksd\u00f3ttir (1957-1994): esculturas, cer\u00e1micas y obras bidimensionales.<\/p>\n<p>Al comienzo de su carrera, S\u00f3ley se dedicaba principalmente a la cer\u00e1mica tradicional, a menudo categorizada como objetos pr\u00e1cticos, pero a finales de la d\u00e9cada de 1980, las im\u00e1genes de la artista, que antes serv\u00edan para decorar ollas y cuencos, cobraron vida propia en grandes, obras tridimensionales, realizadas en hormig\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Othoniel Mu\u00f1iz<\/strong> es un artista mexicano que vive en Islandia desde 2017.
