The exhibition spans S\u00f3ley\u2019s short but dynamic career, but last year Hafnarborg received a generous donation of sculptures by the artist, prompting a closer look at these works. Sunday being the final day of the exhibition, curators <strong>Ald\u00eds Arnard\u00f3ttir<\/strong> and <strong>A\u00f0alhei\u00f0ur Valgeirsd\u00f3ttir<\/strong> and artist <strong>J\u00f3n Axel Bj\u00f6rnsson<\/strong> will lead guests on a walkthrough of the exhibition, seeking to shed light on S\u00f3ley\u2019s life and career.<\/p>\n<p><strong>S\u00f3ley Eir\u00edksd\u00f3ttir<\/strong> studied metalworking at the Technical College of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur for a year after finishing her studies at the Flensborg Secondary School. In 1975, she then enrolled in the Icelandic College of Arts and Crafts, first at the Department of Teaching before ultimately graduating from the Department of Pottery in 1981.
