Saturday November 28th at 3 p.m.<\/strong>, artist\u00a0and curator Iryna Kamienieva<\/strong>\u00a0will lead guests on a\u00a0guided tour in Ukrainian <\/strong>of the exhibition\u00a0Landscape for the Chosen Ones<\/em>, currently on view at the museum. The tour is open to all interested above the age of 13, no prior knowledge or experience with art is required.<\/p>\n

The exhibition includes works by ten Icelandic and international artists, whose works raise various questions about escapism: What situation do we escape today? Is it a positive or a negative phenomenon? What does the current landscape of escapism look like? And who has access to it? The exhibition is comprised of works made in various media, for example paintings, graphic works, sculptures and video.<\/p>\n

Iryna Kamienieva<\/strong> is an artist and a curator from Ukraine. She has been living in Iceland since 2022, where she has been working in the field of art as well as refugee reception.<\/p>\n

In My Language<\/em><\/strong> is an event programme focused on making Hafnarborg more accessible to people of different backgrounds by welcoming guests to the museum in various languages. The event is a collaboration between Hafnarborg and GETA \u2013 Aid Organisation\/Get Together that provides support for asylum seekers and refugees in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur and surrounding areas. The programme is supported by the Museum Fund.<\/em><\/p>\n
