At the workshop we&#8217;ll be creating a &#8220;Pavuk&#8221; (spider) talisman, a traditional Ukrainian decoration made from straws. Even though the &#8220;spider&#8221; is often seen as a Christmas decoration, its roots go much deeper, connected to the magic of the earth and the harvest. September is the perfect time for this workshop to craft a powerful amulet together that will bring harmony and coziness into our homes for the whole year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Viktoriia Leliuk<\/strong> is a multidisciplinary artist from Kyiv, Ukraine. She is constantly in the process of creating, from collages and murals to craft projects and film photography.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Anne Rombach<\/strong> is a German artist living and working in Iceland. She studied photography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Leipzig and graduated with an MA degree in Fine Art from the Iceland University of the Arts where she is currently studying \u201cArts and Wellbeing\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>In My Language <\/em><\/strong><em>is an event programme focused on making Hafnarborg more accessible to people of different backgrounds by welcoming guests to the museum in various languages. The event is a collaboration between Hafnarborg and GETA \u2013 Nonprofit Organisation that works to build a more tolerant and inclusive society through a wide range of activities. The programme is supported by the Museum Fund. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>The workshop will take place on the ground floor of the museum. It&#8217;s open to individuals of all ages and skill levels, but children should be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
