Saturday November 15th at 1-3 p.m.<\/strong>, Hafnarborg invites Polish-speaking families to take part in a wet felting workshop<\/strong>, led by artist Agata Mickiewicz<\/strong>, where participants will create a small tapestry from sheep\u2019s wool inspired by Polish folk motifs. The workshop will be conducted in Polish, Icelandic and English.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s explore the beautiful art of wet felting together! During the workshop, participants will learn the traditional process of felting \u2013 using hot water, soap and friction to entangle and shrink wool fibers into a dense, colourful fabric. Each child will have the chance to design and craft their own unique tapestry, inspired by patterns and symbols found in Polish folk art.<\/p>\n

In My Language<\/em><\/strong> is an event programme focused on making Hafnarborg more accessible to people of different backgrounds by welcoming guests to the museum in various languages. The programme is supported by the Museum Fund.<\/em><\/p>\n

The workshop will take place on the ground floor of the museum. It\u2019s open to children of all skill levels, but participants should be accompanied by a parent or guardian. As always, participation in workshops and entrance to the museum\u2019s exhibitions is free of charge.<\/strong><\/p>\n
