Then Hafnarborg\u00a0will open its doors to the public for and stay open until midnight. By opening the museum doors at night-time, guests will get the chance to explore our diverse facilities and participate in a\u00a0programme of fascinating and unusual events for guests of all ages to enjoy.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hafnarborg&#8217;s event&#8217;s:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Who are We? \u2013 Portrait-Making for Families. 7 pm. \u2013 9 pm.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A workshop in portrait-making \u200b\u200bfor children and their parents managed by the artist Sigurr\u00f3s Svava \u00d3lafsd\u00f3ttir. The portrait is an artistic interpretation of a person, where emphasis is placed on the face of the subject. The workshop gives children and their parents an opportunity to allow their creativity to run wild and make portraits of each other. The portrait-workshop is held in conjunction with the exhibition Spark where portraits by Hanna Dav\u00ed\u00f0sson (1888-1966) are in the majority of her works.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Behind the Scenes \u2013 Visit to the Museum\u2018s Storerooms. 8 pm. \u2013 10 pm.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Guests are invited to look behind the scenes of Hafnarborg and see the wonders that lie hidden in the storage of the museum, accompanied by employees. Each visit is short and guests are received in small groups, a maximum of 10 guests at a time.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hundred Years In-Between \u2013 Guided Tour in Polish with Karolina Boguslawska 8 pm. \u2013 9 pm.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Join Karolina Boguslawska art theorist, for an time navigation between the exhibitions of Hafnarborg, Spark and Development. Karolina leads an guided tour in Polish around the museum and its exhibitions. An ideal opportunity for the Polish speaking to learn more about the museum and it&#8217;s activities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Expedition of the Exhibition Spark \u2013 Guided Tour in Icelandic. 8:45 pm. \u2013 9:15 pm.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Hafnarborg offers visitors to join \u00d3l\u00f6f K. Sigur\u00f0ard\u00f3ttir director of the institute for a expedition of the exhibition Spark. Spark is an exhibition of paintings and drawings by Hanna Dav\u00ed\u00f0sson (1888-1966), an woman who lived in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur and painted almost all her life, shaped by the realities of women at the beginning of the twentieth century.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Monochrome World of the Exhibition Development \u2013 Artist Talk. 21:15 pm. \u2013 22 pm.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Hekla D\u00f6gg J\u00f3nsdottir artist discusses the monochrome world of her installation Development. With her installation, Hekla D\u00f6gg J\u00f3nsd\u00f3ttir creates a platform where all steps of film making are made visible in a life movie studio where a constantly changing movie is shot in a specially prepared movie set. Development is a completely independent world where creation, mediation, processing and reception all take place at the same space. The artist talk will take place in Icelandic.<\/p>\n<p><strong>HO HO HA HA \u2013 Laughter Yoga. 21:30 pm. \u2013 22:15 pm.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Add some laughter to your Museum night in laughter yoga with S\u00f6lvi Avo P\u00e9tursson, laughter yoga trainer and nutritional therapist. Laughter yoga is a method that the Indian doctor Madan Kataria developed and is a mixture of laughter exercises and yoga breathing. It is an exercise routine that is sweeping the world and is a complete wellbeing workout as the main purpose is to strengthen the body and soul. Duration is 45 minutes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Live Music at Gl\u00f3. 22 pm. \u2013 22:30 pm.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It is customary to end the program on Museum Night in Hafnarborg with sweet tunes in the restaurant Gl\u00f3, where people can sit down and relax after a busy evening.
