This is also the last day of the exhibition.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition <em>No site<\/em> is an exhibition of the works of eight artists\u00a0living in Iceland who are turning their gaze towards Icelandic nature. Bj\u00f6rn \u00c1rnason, Claudia Hausfeld, Daniel Reuter, Edda Fransisca Kjarval, Ingvar H\u00f6gni Ragnarsson, Katr\u00edn Elvarsd\u00f3ttir, P\u00e9tur Thomsen and Stuart Richardson all work with photography as a medium. The works are all made in the timespan 2008 \u2013 2015. The curators are <strong>\u00c1slaug \u00cdris Fri\u00f0j\u00f3nsd\u00f3ttir<\/strong> and <strong>Unnur Mj\u00f6ll S. Leifsd\u00f3ttir<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bj\u00f6rn \u00c1rnason.<br \/>\n<\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bjornarnason.com\/\">www.bjornarnason.com<\/a><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Daniel Reuter<\/strong> was born in Germany in 1976. In 2013 he graduated from the limited-residency MFA in Photography at the University of Hartford, Connecticut. His first book, History of the Visit, has been nominated for the Paris Photo\u2013Aperture Foundation First Photobook of the Year Award 2013, as well as for the German Photobook Award 2015. His work has been exhibited in Europe, the United States and Japan.\u00a0Daniel currently resides in Reykjav\u00edk, Iceland.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Katr\u00edn Elvarsd\u00f3ttir<\/strong> (b. 1964) received a BFA from the Art Institute of Boston, Massachusetts, in 1993. She also holds a BA in French from the University of Iceland. Katrin&#8217;s photographs have been shown in group exhibitions around the world and she has held solo exhibitions in Iceland, Denmark, Poland and the USA. Her images are straightforward and clear with a sense of timelessness, and she photographs familiar objects we have names for, but often they participate in a narrative that is equivocal or unfamiliar. Instead of telling a story of the obvious, the narrative elements in her photographs are hidden or evasive, even ominous.
