This summer, guided evening walks will be held in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur all Thursdays at 8 pm. Each walk will take about an hour and is appropriate to all. Participation is free at charge.<\/p>\n

Thursday June 9th at 8 p.m.\u00a0<\/strong>the walk will take place around the areas where the artist Hanna Dav\u00ed\u00f0sson lived. She moved into\u00a0S\u00edvertsens-house\u00a0in the year 1912\u00a0and\u00a0is the oldest house of Hafnarfj0rdur. Hanna’s story will be told and the places which inspired her art will be discussed. The walk ends with a visit to Fr\u00edkirkjan church in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur but works by Hanna hold an important place in the church.<\/p>\n

The walk starts at the Pakkh\u00fas<\/strong> of the town’s museum of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur at Vesturgata 6.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00d3l\u00f6f K. Sigur\u00f0ard\u00f3ttir, director of Hafnarborg, will lead the walk along with Hulda Cathinca Gu\u00f0mundsd\u00f3ttir, Hanna’s grandchild. \u00d3l\u00f6f curated an exhibition of Hanna’s work in the beginning of the year and drew attention to the work of this sincere artist that worked in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur throughout her\u00a0life.<\/p>\n
