{"id":8098,"date":"2020-10-09T16:43:10","date_gmt":"2020-10-09T16:43:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hafnarborg.avistaserver.com\/?post_type=event&#038;p=8098"},"modified":"2020-10-16T17:12:01","modified_gmt":"2020-10-16T17:12:01","slug":"an-urban-archive-as-an-english-garden-skerpla","status":"publish","type":"event","link":"https:\/\/old.hafnarborg.is\/en\/event\/an-urban-archive-as-an-english-garden-skerpla\/","title":{"rendered":"An Urban Archive as an English Garden \u2013 Skerpla"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Saturday October 10th at 2:30 p.m.<\/strong>, students from the music department of the Iceland University of the Arts will host a special event, under the name of music ensemble Skerpla, in connection with Dav\u00ed\u00f0 Brynjar Franzson&#8217;s exhibition, <em>An Urban Archive as an English Garden<\/em>, currently on view at Hafnarborg.<\/p>\n<p>The Students of the music department, under the guidance of professor Berglind Mar\u00eda T\u00f3masd\u00f3ttir, have delved into the concept, ideas and approach of Dav\u00ed\u00f0&#8217;s exhibition, seeking ways to engage with and activate the exhibition, as a part of its programme of live events.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The event will be streamed live on Hafnarborg&#8217;s Facebook page (see the player here below), due to the temporary closing of the museum for public health reasons.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Skerpla<\/strong> is an experimental music ensemble, active within the Iceland University of the Arts, being founded in the autumn of 2018. \u00a0Skerpla explores, creates and performs experimental music, with the aim of expanding traditional ideas of music. Berglind Mar\u00eda T\u00f3masd\u00f3ttir, professor at the Iceland University of the Arts, directs Skerpla.<\/p>\n<p>The students that participate in Skerpla, at this time, are Alvar Rosell Martin, Ana Luisa S.
