The conference will take a look at art in the public realm and its meaning, both for local communities and in a broader context. Special focus will be on the origin of these kinds of projects, how they come to be, how they are financed and how they are planned.<\/p>\n<p>The keynote speaker will be Tyra Dokkedahl, a Danish curator and journalist specializing in art in public spaces. Other speakers are architect Steve Christer at Stud\u00ed\u00f3 Grandi, \u00c1g\u00fasta Krist\u00f3fersd\u00f3ttir, Director of Hafnarborg, artists Anna Hallin, Olga Bergman, Carl Boutard and \u00d3l\u00f6f Nordal and \u00d6rn Baldursson from the Government Construction Contracting Agency. \u00d3l\u00f6f Krist\u00edn Sigur\u00f0ard\u00f3ttir, Director of the Reykjav\u00edk Art Museum, will open the conference and Sigur\u00f0ur Trausti Traustason, Head of Collections and Research at the Reykjav\u00edk Art Museum, will lead the conference.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The participation fee is ISK 2.500. Coffee and a light lunch included.
